Yanic Gentry is a civil engineer currently finishing a master's degree in naval engineering. He started sailing at a young age in the Optimist and Windsurf classes and specialized in the Laser Olympic Class, where he gained most of his experience. He is a multiple national Laser champion and represented Mexico at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. He was a finalist at the 2019 Pan American Games and won a silver medal at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games. He recently competed in the CG32 Extreme Sailing Series with Team Extreme Mexico and has been gaining experience sailing large boats as a tactician in the Melges World Series. 32 with the HEAT teamBest Results
